Smita Tiwari has spent the last fifteen years studying and practising Vedic astrology — not as a hobby or a side interest, but as a calling that found her early and never let go.
Trained under several Jyotish Gurus over the years, she developed a sharp eye for birth chart analysis — with a particular depth in two areas that people ask about most: marital compatibility and matchmaking (Kundali Milan), and career-linked astrology that helps people make clearer professional decisions.
Over 1,000 consultations later, one thing became clear to her. The people seeking guidance were not hard to find. But finding a trustworthy, verified astrologer — one who would take the time to study a chart properly, explain things in plain language, and charge fairly — that was the difficult part. Too many people had stories of being misled, overcharged, or left more confused than when they started.
JanamPatri grew out of that gap. Smita founded the platform to build what she wished had existed when she was a seeker herself: a place where genuine Vedic astrologers are verified before they practise, where consultations happen with transparency and respect, and where the ancient science of Jyotish meets the expectations of people living modern lives.
She leads JanamPatri with a simple conviction — that astrology, practised well, is one of the most compassionate tools we have. It does not tell you what to fear. It helps you understand what you are working with.
Smita is based in Chicago and personally oversees the astrologer verification process at JanamPatri.
